Due to the lack of update yesterday I am posing two poems today :)

The cliche but wonderful i carry your heart  )

Or for another option 3 stanzas from T.S Eliot's The Hollow Men, I love them all and am having trouble deciding, if I get one of them, which one to get :P

I am thinking of getting a literary tattoo, most likely from a poem that has struck me, but I am unsure of which one. So I am going to do a little research and by research I mean post a poem or two everyday (or most everyday) until I find one that really does resenate. I like many poems and love many lines, this isn't a search for a poem in order to just get a tattoo, this is just to sort it all out, a way to organize them.

So first ones first! The whole poem is behind the cut but the stanza with the highlighted lines I would want is outside, just so I can see it :P

Please excuse the formatting, I'm not that good with HTML :P

A Song For Saint Cecilia’s Day )

Grand Chorus:

As from the power of sacred lays
The spheres began to move,
And sung the great Creator’s praise
To all the blest above;
So when the last and dreadful hour
This crumbling pageant shall devour,
The trumpet shall be heard on high,
The dead shall live, the living die,
And music shall untune the sky.

I want all of the grand chorus but I think its far too long for a tattoo.

I don't think I have EVER met ANYONE as incredibly, disgustingly racist as my roomate. He can't see that no one thinks his shit is funny and no one wants to be around him. I had to hide in my room and use the iffy wireless because I can't sit there for one minute and listen to his stoned ass laugh at every single racial slur in Grand Turino. And he doesn't get that its a freaking movie and Clint Eastwood probably doesn't feel that way against Asian and Black people, he agrees with every single word spoken. On Oscar night, anytime an Asian person came on the screen he said "Whats that stupid ch*** doing there" He also made an "Asian face" where he pulled his eyes and made an overbite, it was so disgusting that my sweet, polite friend told him to shut up. Also, every time there was a woman over 25 on screen (save for Jen Aniston) he said "God, shes so old, whats that bitch doing there, she should just go home and die" Anytime anyone weighed more than 120 he called them "disgusting pigs that should just eat themselves to death" that they should just go "jump of a bridge".

I am seriously seriously aching for the time when we can move out and move in with our friends, whom we like, rather than this complete asshole.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

Poems and songs I like...

i carry your heart with me

i carry your heart with me(i carry it in
my heart)i am never without it(anywhere
i go you go,my dear; and whatever is done
by only me is your doing,my darling)
i fear
no fate(for you are my fate,my sweet)i want
no world(for beautiful you are my world,my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows
higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart

i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart)

Ok y'all (well the like, 3 people that read this) I want/need a new name.

I really don't want to be wittlepanther any more mainly because I hate the name. So I am asking you, my dear and faithful friends to suggest one.

It can be related to me in some way, Doctor Who, Firefly, any of my interests, or something completely random, I just want a new name but I lack any form of creativity in that area :(

Thank you for you help!

I am basically the luckiest person in the world.

I just got back from a fantastic vacation with pretty much the worlds most perfect guy to what is possibly the wolds most beautiful country. I had the best two and a half weeks, heck, the best time of my life. The man the made that all happen, Anthony ([info]aftershokk) is, I believe, the love of my life. He makes me the happiest I have ever been.

Montenegro is awe-inspiring. The coastline is unbelievable, and the mountains are breathtaking. The history of the place is almost too much for me too handle, not being used to being able to walk in cities dating back to before Christ, enter buildings that have stood for hundreds of years and touch stones that are thousands of years old.

I would gladly return in an instant, even with the heat and risk of sunburn :P

There will be a picture post coming up soon when I have gone through them all.

Using my Jaylee love icon because I have no generic love ones :P

I've gotten into icon making. I'm doing each of the episodes, I've just about done Father's Day but I wanted to start posting them. There are only a few for the first 2 episodes because I couldn't really find many pics for Rose and didn't like how any of the EotW pics looked. Later episodes have many many more so don't worry :P

Anthony, you can't look at these because you haven't seen the episodes yet :P

On to the icons! )

I was recently watching Simon Pegg's series "Spaced" and I noticed some very clear connections between it and Doctor Who.

First thing first, Simon Pegg guest-starred as "The Editor" on the episode The Long Game in series 1 of New Who.

His costar on Spaced, Jessica Hynes (nee Stevenson) appeared on the episodes Human Nature and Family of Blood.

Both John Simm and Mark Gatiss appeared on an episode of Spaced entitled Gone.

And Claire Rushbrook (who appeared on DW as Ida Scott in the episodes The Impossible Planet and The Satan Pit) played a minor character on a Spaced episode entitled Art.

There is also a "Police Public Call Box" sign above Simon's boss's door at the comic shop where he works. And one episode features a dance party in which Billie Piper's song "Because We Want To" is played.

And as an added bonus Penelope Wilton (Harriet Jones) played Simon's mum in Shaun of the Dead.

I've found love again, and it's name is Anthony (Tony for short).

He lives and works in Montenegro for the time being.

He is kind, generous, full of hearts and kittens.

He is mature, gallant, a giant nerd, and all mine.

He makes me happier than I have been in a looooooong time.

He cared for me before he even met me in person, and has loved me since he did.

In two months time he is flying me to Montenegro to spend time with him.

In October he will be back home and my heart will find completeness.

I'm in love and it's lovely.

Which Doctor (from Doctor Who) Are You?

You are the fifth Doctor! Probably the kindest and most outwardly agreeable, you're very well liked by all. You have an odd sense of what accesorization. You're also very sporty, and this reflects in your style of dress. Be wary of attempting to become a mentor figure. It might end badly.

I am creeping ever closer to complete Firefly  fangirlism and I like it.

Anyone who likes the Fireflyness and was upset about a "certain part" in the movie,  [info]nauticalgal has written a fantaaaaaastic continuation .
It's ridiculously good.
